Hello again!

 

Today’s review is about Pride and Prejudice, a film based on the novel by Jane Austen.

I think it is one of my favorite romantic movies; this movie is special because of the story and the landscapes.

The story is about 5 sisters who are still living with their parents in a big farm house.

In those times if you were a woman it was necessary to find a husband to support you, women had no rights.

In the movie a powerful and rich man (Charles Bingley) arrives in the village where the girls live. The parents take all the girls to a party to meet new people and future husbands. Social events were important and rich people liked to have big parties.

One of the sisters (Jane Bennett) falls in love with Bingley, and then a lot of things happen after that. I can say my favorite character is Lizzy a young girl, very independent and with her own way of thinking. She meets Bingley’s friend Darcy.

Darcy is an arrogant person.  The first time he meets Lizzy he is very impolite and not really friendly. But then with time, they meet more and more, and then, love happens. Both are in love. There is a problem, they come from different social classes, he is rich and she is a farmer’s daughter.

I can’t give you any spoilers but I’m sure you are going to love everything about this movie, especially the castles, I think they are stunning. The ending is amazing.

 They used old English in the film and if you are learning English this movie can be a bit of a challenge, but it doesn’t matter, later you will understand it better.
